Bringing Your Vision to Life: Expanding our Custom Capabilities

One of the most rewarding parts of our work is seeing our handmade pieces in their new, thoughtfully designed, unique homes. Collaborating with interior designers to create furniture that is the perfect fit is a large part of our work. We’re excited to say that we’ve recently added a new draftsman to our team, which allows us to expand on our custom capabilities. 

Whether it’s an adjustment to dimensions on one of our classic case goods or a custom layout, we are taking on more custom work than before. We know that finding the exact right piece for your space can be a challenge. Our goal is to make the process easy and fun, while highlighting our commitment to quality craftsmanship and building furniture that is the exact fit for our customers' needs. 

We’ve rounded up a few of our favorite custom projects. From customized bookcases to nightstands and dressers, take a look at what our team can do:


This custom Solna Cabinet turned out to be one of our favorite items yet. The client doubled the width, adding an additional two doors and three drawers. The hardware was changed to our round, leather Condesa pulls.


On this custom piece, we increased the overall height of a Sawyer Hutch and added fixed shelves, making it a bookshelf with cabinet storage below. 


For this one, the starting point was our Avers Entry Cabinet. An increased height and the addition of two drawers completely changed the look and function to fit our customer’s exact needs.


These petite Sawyer Nightstands were a fun surprise. A completely different aesthetic from the original, but just as visually pleasing.


Additional storage was added to a custom size Douglas Bookcase by incorporating drawers. Whenever possible, we prioritize using continuous grain across the width. 


Here, a Hayward Bookcase was designed to fit the customer’s specific storage needs. Custom dimensions and shelf placement allowed for record storage below, and receiver storage above with room to spare.


Sometimes we see the most fun proportions come from starting with desired dimensions. This customer wanted a compact Hayward Media Cabinet to fit a smaller space.


Starting with an Avers Tallboy, this piece was meant to function as a nightstand.
